5 Vintage Rustic Wedding Elements

We had the pleasure of exhibiting at the Maryland Wedding Expo earlier this month where we met Angela and Brandon from Cozyberry Designs and Rentals. Their gorgeous farm tables, rustic wine barrels and vintage place settings on display inspired us and we’re so excited that they’ll be at our Winter Wedding Open House this weekend to show everyone the stunning pieces available for rental!  After browsing the expo displays and imagining Gramercy Mansion decorated for our upcoming event, we decided a romantic, vintage-inspired theme is ideal for the space and season.  Planning a rustic, vintage wedding ceremony and reception?  Here are a five vintage rustic wedding elements for inspiration.

1.  Wood accents.  From thin hand-carved log slices, to twigs and branches in floral arrangements and antique wood furniture pieces even painted wooden doors displaying photos and signs and wood crates, wood elements are a rustic wedding must have.

2.  Mason jars.  Fill with hot cocoa and marshmallows as a winter wedding favor, wrap with burlap and lace as a vase, fill with floating candles, or hang from trees as mini lanterns.

3.  Lace & burlap.  Soften the edges and bring romance to everything with a touch of rustic burlap and vintage lace – aisle and table runners, wrapped around vases or embellishing cakes.  Feminine with that outdoorsy feel, vintage and oh so pretty.

4.  Soft lighting.  Rustic lanterns, crystal chandeliers, hanging mason jars, twinkle lights, teacup candles, lace-wrapped votives – nothing sets the mood like the right light.

5.  Repurposed accent pieces.  It’s all about the details – upcycle vintage suitcases, classic hardcover books, antique picture frames and anything else that speaks to you.
