Fall Wedding at the Carriage House!

Contrary to popular belief, September & October have become the most popular wedding months according to Wedding Wire & The Knot… oh, and our events calendar! While we still celebrate a lot of love during the late spring and early summer days of May & June, the number of fall weddings we have each year continues to increase. We think the beautiful, cooler weather, and colorful gardens, might have something to do with it…

Nicole & Drew’s Wedding Day

During the last weekend in September, Nicole & Drew had what we call a “dream weather day” at Gramercy. Not only was the sun warming the gardens surrounding their ceremony site, but also their friends & family were able to dine outside under the bistro lights in the Carriage House courtyard. This is something we see only a few times each year because the weather has to be just right. Alana Renee Photo was there to capture it all!

Tying in the gorgeous colors of fall, Nicole & Drew opted to line their ceremony aisle with maroon, orange, and yellow florals, as well as drape the arbor with a burlap and leaf-filled garland. Fall accents also filled the reception space, with tiny pumpkins on the dining tables, and orange and blue bouquet & boutonniere touches.

One of the most special parts about their wedding was the inclusion of family. Parents were invited to be a part of a candle lighting during the ceremony, and the groom’s mom made Nicole’s bouquet and Drew’s boutonniere by hand – they’re absolutely stunning! We love seeing the unique accents that couples incorporate into their wedding days.

After a heartfelt ceremony, dancing and dining filled the Carriage House with love and laughter that evening. Be sure to scroll down to see an awesome cake, and a glow stick exit. Congratulations Nicole & Drew!
