We Believe in the O’s, Hon!

Friday, April 15th, 2011

For the first time in a long time, it seems that Baltimoreans have the chance to root for a great Orioles team! Even though it’s too early to say how the rest of the season will bode for the Birds, their 6-5 record so far is an indicator of a pretty good season to come. Under the leadership of Head Coach Buck Showalter, the O’s are really starting to play to their potential, which hopefully means a lot more W’s than L’s on their record this season.

Now that the weather is warming up and the sun is finally starting to come out, there will be nothing more fun to do than going to Camden Yards to see the Orioles play. If you do decide to go to a game this season but don’t feel like battling the traffic to drive all the way home once the game is over, reserve a room at one of our two convenient locations. Gramercy Mansion is located about 20 minutes from Camden Yards, but our sister location, the 1840s Carrollton Inn, is only 1 mile away from the ballpark! You can even take advantage of our Last-Minute Special and receive 40% off your reservation any Sunday through Thursday or 25% off any Friday or Saturday if you book 24-hours or less in advance.

So, we’d just like to say good luck to our Baltimore Orioles and we can’t wait to see how the rest of the season turns out for them. Let’s Go O’s!!!

Anne’s Garden Update for the Week 4/1/11

Friday, April 1st, 2011

Wow! Spring is powering up at Gramercy and even though it’s still raining, this is great transplanting weather! It does the heart good  to see all the smiles as guests wander our gardens. Snowdrops have been blooming since late February. Perennials are shooting up, especially Virginia bluebells and bleeding hearts. We expect magnolias, cherry blossoms, and peach blossoms by April 4.

Don’t forget, the last minute special is still in effect, so if you make a reservation no more than 24 hours in advance of check-in, you will receive a 40% discount on weekdays and a 25% discount on weekends. How is that for a smile maker?
