Kennedy Krieger’s Festival of Trees!

Many people look forward to Thanksgiving each year since it is a holiday where family and friends get to spend time together and have a great meal. While it is such an enjoyable holiday, it does take a lot of work to put together (and to clean up once it’s over!). So, why not do something fun with your family and friends after all of the Thanksgiving work is over this weekend? We have a great suggestion for you!

The Kennedy Krieger Institute is holding its Festival of Trees once again this weekend from Friday, November 26 through Sunday, November 28. The Festival of Trees will be held at the Maryland State Fairgrounds in Timonium from 10am to 9pm on Friday and Saturday and from 10am to 6pm on Sunday. This is truly an event that is enjoyable to people of all ages because there are so many different fun things to see and do. For children, there are carousel rides, train rides, “reindeer’ pony rides, a train garden, face painting, different craft activities, and also a meet and greet with Santa Claus himself! There are also a large number of performances that will be taking place, like magic shows, celebrity book readings, dancers, musicians, and comedians. For a schedule of all of the performances that will be taking place, click here. For those of you who love to shop, there will also be an extensive list of vendors present along with silent auctions where you will be able to purchase all types of goodies. If you would like to see a full list of vendors, click here.

The festival costs $10 for adults, $5 for senior citizens and children between the ages of 5-12, and is free for children 4 and under. Tickets can be purchased at the gate or you can save $2 off the regular adult price of $10 if you order online here. The best part about Kennedy Krieger Institute’s Festival of Trees, though, is that while you and your family are having fun at the festival, you are also helping a great organization since proceeds from this event benefit the children and families of the Kennedy Krieger Institute. So, after this Thanksgiving, come unwind and have a great time with your friends and family at this fun festival while supporting a wonderful cause!
