- Activity Idea: A “Postcard to the Baby” station where guests write advice for different milestones (1st birthday, 10th birthday, etc.).
- Palette: Sepia tones, muted blues, and gold.
“The Storybook Garden”
Move away from the generic woodland and go specifically toward Peter Rabbit or Winnie the Pooh. Gramercy gardens will match this theme almost all year round, perfect for a spring, summer or fall shower.
- Décor: Potted herbs, sketch style classic Christopher Robin and friends (Pooh Bear, Piglet, Eeyore, etc.) vintage bassinet, and “blackberry jam” party favors.
- Gramercy Inspiration: Our Carriage House would be the perfect spot to host the shower, complete with provided tables, chairs, variety of approved caterers to choose from. Historical features of the property like original exposed brick and an over-a-century-old American Beech tree.

“Main Squeeze”
A bright, citrus theme that feels very high-end. Use actual lemons, oranges and grapefruits in the floral arrangements.
- Slogan: “A Sweet New Addition to our Family Tree”.
- Menu: Lemon tarts, mimosas (and mock mimosas), and a citrus glazed chicken.
- Palette: Bright marigold, avocado green, peachy pinks, and bright whites to freshen the space.
“Books & Brews”
This one is for the parents-to-be that are readers. Our library in the Tudor-style mansion, chalk full of antique décor, vintage chandeliers and timeless art, is the perfect space to celebrate a future book-lover’s arrival. Ask guests to bring a signed book instead of a card.
- Décor: Stacks of vintage books and “library card” food label.
- Vibe: Intellectual, relaxed, and warm.
- Palette: Dark mahogany, cream, deep forest green, and gold.
“Baby-Q”
If you want something low-pressure and coed, a sophisticated BBQ is the way to go. Our Carriage House has a beautiful courtyard and our partnership with Mission BBQ catering is a great, low maintenance way to have a beautiful baby shower in a dream location.
- Décor: Gingham prints, sunflowers, and galvanized buckets for drinks. The venue does a lot of the heavy lifting (especially in the summer months).
- Vibe: Fun, social, classic.
“A New Leaf”
Leveraging the dreamy foliage here in our Gramercy gardens, a botanical-heavy theme focused on growth and new-beginnings will make for a fresh and welcoming space for your baby shower.
- Design tip: To make any theme feel “less common”, avoid buying pre-made party packs from big-box stores. Instead, pick a three-color palette and buy solid-colored items, then add the “theme” through small details like cake toppers and custom napkins.
- Décor: Ferns, eucalyptus, and “plant your own” succulent station for guests.
- Vibe: fresh, calm, and gender neutral.
Stay-Cation for Mom-to-Be:
Make it a babymoon for mom to get away and relax here on our historic and calming property. Stay the night before the shower and wake up to a gourmet breakfast, enjoy a peaceful walk in the gardens, and after feeling refreshed, head over to celebrate with loved ones.
