2024 Wedding Trend Forecasting

As we are flying through the 2023 year, we are filling up our calendar for our prime dates for the 2024 wedding year! We have noticed a bunch of new trends that are coming into play for our couples when they are deciding on major aspects of the aesthetics of their wedding day.

Some of our favorite trends we’ve noticed include love drunk photography, pearls, something blue accents, audio guestbooks, flower appliques, bows, short veils and more!

1. Vintage Cakes: Couples are switching from the classic two or three tiered traditional wedding cake to a much more sustainable and vintage glam feel. We are seeing single tier cakes decorated in white piping and sometimes cherries on top.

2. Audio Guestbooks: One of our favorite ideas for a guestbook! Skip the typical sign your name and leave a brief message, you can actually call and leave them an audio message! The audio can be saved to an mp3 file for the couple or made into a vinyl record with all their loved ones voice messages!

3. Love Drunk Photography: Blurry photos, wait…. what? Yes, you heard that correctly. If executed perfectly, love drunk photos are EVERYTHING! Black and white, motion all around you, dancing the night away, this style captures the movement of a video in a still photo, we are obsessed! We are also noticing lots of wedding photographers shooting with 35mm film, too!

4. Something Blue: This one seems normal for every wedding year but with Sofia Richie Grainge getting married this past April, her touch of elegance is making a big impression on wedding trends. Whether you want to highlight something blue for your rehearsal dinner look, or your wedding gown has a baby blue bow detail, we are noticing more and more of this color.

5. Mix and Match Bridesmaids Dresses: This one is an oldy, but a goody. We love a mismatched bridesmaid outfit moment. Why dress everyone in identical dresses and colors when everyone’s body type and skin tones are all different? Throw in a print or pattern if you’d like, also! This style will never be uncool for us.

6. Drink Towers: We’ve all seen a coupe glass champagne tower moment, but have you seen a Rosé Wine or Espresso Martini Tower? Neither have we, until now.
