Gardens Galore | Places to Visit this Spring

Are you looking for the perfect backdrop for your family photos or engagement shoot? Thinking of the ideal place to pop the question to your significant other? We have compiled a list of our favorite gardens that you should visit this spring as everything comes into full bloom!

Sherwood Gardens

Located in Baltimore, Maryland is a privately owned community park where approximately 80,000 tulip bulbs are planted annually. Originally called Stratford Green and created in the 1920s, Sherwood Gardens is definitely a sight to see!

Sherwood Gardens is a non-profit entity supported and maintained entirely off donations. It relies on generous contributions in order to fulfill its mission of providing a natural place for recreation for the community! Open dusk to dawn, 365 days a year. Admission is free.

To make room for the flowers of summer and to help prepare for next year’s tulips, Sherwood Gardens hosts an Annual Tulip Dig which attracts tulip and other bulb lovers from far and wide to dig up, buy, and take home their favorite bulbs to enjoy! May 29, 2021  7:00 am – 11:00 am

Brookside Gardens

Brookside Gardens is Montgomery County’s incomparable, award-winning 50-acre public display garden! There are several distinct and unique areas throughout the gardens including an aquatic garden, azalea garden, butterfly garden and rose garden.

Brookside Gardens also feature two conservatories for year-round enjoyment. Admission to the gardens is free. Open sunrise to sunset.

Ladew Topiary Gardens

Located in Monkton, Maryland is Ladew Topiary Gardens which showcases 2 acres of spectacular award-winning gardens, more than 100 remarkable topiaries, a mile-long Nature Walk, and seasonal native Butterfly House!

Gramercy Mansion

You didn’t think we would list our favorite gardens to visit without mentioning ourselves, did you?! Owner Anne Pomykala has spent endless years perfecting our gardens to what they are today.

Equipped with a love for plants and a wonderful landscaping team, Gramercy Mansion has acres of rolling gardens to explore. You can find over 100 species of plants on our property! If you’re lucky, you may even catch Anne roaming around and get to quiz her all about the Mansion, the history, and the plants! She may even give you some tips and tricks for your garden at home.

Stop by to visit the Mansion and Carriage House gardens this spring! Enjoy the smells, sounds, and sights that Gramercy Mansion has to offer. While you’re here, make sure to stop by the gift shop sprawling three floors! We can’t wait to see you!
